Our Story

Eight years of passion for pure sound reproduction, serving audiophiles across the United Kingdom with uncompromising dedication to excellence.

SoundVault flagship showroom in Covent Garden London

From Recording Studios to Living Rooms

SoundVault was founded in 2018 by Edward Harrington, a former Abbey Road Studios engineer who spent fifteen years recording some of the world's most celebrated artists. During his tenure, Edward developed an intimate understanding of what constitutes accurate sound reproduction—and became frustrated by the gap between studio monitoring precision and consumer audio equipment.

Joined by longtime colleague and mastering engineer Sarah Chen, Edward established SoundVault with a singular mission: to bring reference-grade audio fidelity into the homes of discerning music lovers. What began as a small demonstration space in Shoreditch has grown into a respected destination for audiophiles throughout the UK.

Our Covent Garden showroom, opened in 2021, represents the culmination of our vision: a space where visitors can experience world-class audio systems in acoustically optimised environments, guided by experts who understand both the technical specifications and the emotional impact of great sound.

Our Values

The principles that guide everything we do

Authenticity

We partner only with manufacturers who share our commitment to genuine acoustic performance over marketing specifications.

Education

We believe informed customers make better decisions. Every consultation includes technical explanation and listening guidance.

Integration

We design systems that respect your living space, considering room acoustics, aesthetics, and practical daily use.

Passion

Every team member is an active audiophile. We sell only products we would—and do—use in our own homes.

SoundVault technical workshop and calibration suite

Technical Excellence

Behind our showroom lies a fully equipped technical workshop where our engineers perform speaker calibration, turntable setup, and system optimisation. Every product that leaves our facility has been measured, tested, and fine-tuned to ensure peak performance.

We maintain relationships with manufacturers' engineering teams, providing feedback from real-world installations and occasionally participating in beta testing for forthcoming products. This insider knowledge allows us to offer informed guidance that goes beyond published specifications.

Our calibration services extend beyond initial setup. We offer ongoing support including room correction analysis, component matching consultation, and upgrade pathway planning to ensure your system continues to perform optimally as your needs evolve.
